Cassy Charette

I am a Registered Veterinary Technologist who graduated from Red River Collage in 2008. I began working casually at Arrowwood Animal Hospital in August 2014 shortly after the clinic opened, while also working at the Animal Emergency Hospital after hours full time. Being on emergency has allowed me to build and strengthen my skills as a technologist throughout my 10 years with them. In July of 2019 I became a full time employee at Arrowwood Animal and look forward to seeing our regular clients more regularly. I still like to keep up with the emergency aspect of the career by picking up casual shifts as I can. My favorite part of being a RVT is phlebotomy, venipunctures. Placing intravenous catheters and collecting blood samples is one of my strengths.

Outside of work I love to hang out with my own furry family. I can’t imagine a time where I will not have a canine companion by my side. We like to take on different trails throughout MB together and I am also enjoying exploring the world of dog sports! I have been into agility for a few years now, it is a great way to connect with your pup, athletic or not. I hope to explore other sports more too as much as I can! Not dog related, I also love creating Pyrography artwork, but of course there also must be some sort of animal connection so I have been making my own pets tags as well with this little hobby of mine.
